Solution Templates

Solution Templates represent configurable templates used to define how solutions are created and configured within the Solution Hub.

In Solution Hub, each scenario represents a Solution Template. When a scenario is uploaded, configuration files are extracted, displaying the name, description, and versions of the scenario. All available functional scenario elements can be configured with default mappings.

The solutions created will follow the structural patterns defined by these Solution Templates. This allows the Solution Hub to follow the procedures built into the scenarios, as represented by the process models and channels created in Orchestra Designer.

Creation​

To create a Solution Template, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the (+) button and select "Solution Template".

  2. Select a scenario (.psc) or a bundle (.psb) created and exported by the Orchestra Designer, then click "Upload".

  3. The created Solution Template(s) will be displayed in the navigation sidebar under the "Solution Templates" section.

When a scenario (.psc) is uploaded, the solution hub creates a new bundle (.psb) under which the scenario is displayed under. See Structure for more information.

Structure​

Solution Templates are displayed in the Solution Hub using a bundle-based grouping structure.

When a scenario (.psc) is uploaded, the Solution Hub automatically creates a bundle (.psb) and places the corresponding scenario under it. This bundle serves as a structural grouping and can later be extended by uploading other scenarios within it.

When uploading additional scenarios into an existing bundle, the scenario identifier must match the identifier already used within that bundle.

If the identifier differs, the upload will fail.

When a bundle (.psb) is uploaded, each contained scenario is grouped and displayed under the same bundle.

From the Solution Hub perspective, bundles do not define configuration or behavior. They exist solely to group related scenarios together.

IO Assignment​

You can use the IO assignment panel to assign values to the input and output parameters of each functional scenario element (Mappings, Channels, Process Models), referred to as callable elements.

IO assignments are defined per Solution Template and are used as default assignments for all solutions created from it.

To use the IO assignment panel, follow these steps:

  1. Open a Solution Template to view its callable elements.

  2. Click the IO assignment icon. The IO assignment panel will open on the right sidebar.

  3. Assign values to each parameter by expanding the parameter panel and entering an Expression for the selected Language.

  4. Manage the namespace context for XPath expressions using the Namespace context panel:

    • Click the add icon to create a new namespace prefix
    • Click the delete icon to remove a namespace prefix
